Knee Pain and Injuries
A common misconception is that the knee is just where 2 bones meet, with some padding (meniscus) in between. But this is far from the truth, and Knee pain and injuries are one of the more complex pain regions of the body due to numerous ligaments, tendons, bursas, and other components that are housed in the knee.
The knee can often be a weak link in the lower limb chain, and your knee pain may not always be the result of a knee injury; rather a symptom of poor gait patters, postural compensations, hip dysfunction, guarding old injuries or a multitude of other non-knee specific mechanisms of pain.
The Body Doc’s system to help your Low back pain symptoms includes;
Identifying the most likely cause or contributing factor (Muscle strain? Posture compensation? Nerve injury? Workplace ergonomics?)
Using evidence based treatments to bring your pain to a manageable level
(osteopaths are trained in a broad range of techniques so you can have faith that we will have the right treatment techniques for you)
Teaching you how to identify triggers and learn pain relief strategies so you can take control of your own heath.
Learn how to take control of your bodies strength, flexibility and functions so you can feel better, for longer
The Body Doc has a special interest in helping you overcome the barriers that Neck pain can cause so you can keep doing what you need, want and love.
